JOB PURPOSE:
- Responsible for the handling of day-to-day inventory management at the warehouse through robust processes and systems approach to achieve customer service satisfaction, enhance productivity, and achieve business growth.
DUTIES:
- Prepares and maintains daily stock records of receipts and deliveries
- Monitors and controls receipts and dispatches to ensure compliance with first-in-first-out system of operation in order to reduce the rate of stock obsoleteness
- Regularly checks and monitors physical stock levels to ensure that minimum, optimum and maximum stock levels are maintained at all times
- Prepares and reports on inventory adjustments taking into consideration damaged, spoilt, mis-delivered, undelivered, short-landed and oversupplied stock
- Liaises with the receiving (inbound) and dispatching (outbound) officers, to oversee that goods are arranged in an orderly manner for ease of storage and retrieval, whenever required
- Conducts regular inspection of physical stocks to ensure that they are well protected in the warehouse and free of damage from the rain, sun, fire or any other such peril
- Properly plans and executes the reconditioning of damaged stocks, and to dispose off obsolete ones whenever required
- Assists the Inventory Supervisor/Manager and designated officers to undertake stock-taking from time to time and be involved in the correct valuation of inventory whenever required;
- Makes recommendations for improvement in procedures and systems relating to warehouse operations as and when required
- Performs such other related duties as may be directed from time to time.
- Ensure spillages are swept and collected immediately
- Recondition burst bags as quickly as possible to avoid exposure to the weather
INTERNAL RELATIONS:
- Maintains interpersonal relation with all workers at the warehouse, operations and production.
- Regular checks and management of stock/ inventory.
EXTERNAL RELATIONS:
- Maintains friendly and cordial relations with all company’s haulage contractors, casual agencies, casuals, clients and others in the supply chain industry.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR ASSETS:
- Has responsibility for managing babylove warehouse
- Management of working logistics
COMPETENCIES:
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- A university degree in Logistics / supply chain management or any related field.
- A professional qualification in stock management/ supply chain.
- Industry experience.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Must have requisite knowledge in warehouse and inventory management operations and also abreast with the set standards such as ISO, RAD, WMP etc.
- Understanding of warehouse best practices and principles
- Knowledge of warehouse regulations
- Ability to have proven track records of effective management of stocks
- Ability to work with deadlines and changing conditions in relation to client demands.
- Ability to comply with warehouse standards
- Knowledge of how company products works
